Our Story

Bluetross is more than just a brand; it's a testament to the passion, connection, and lifestyle that golf embodies. Founded by Marc and Gail Hanson, Bluetross celebrates the inclusivity of the game, welcoming players of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.


Their journey began with a sentimental idea from Marc, who wanted to give his younger brother Eric a special gift. Golf had been a part of their life since their Dad first took them to play when Marc was six and Eric was four. Over the years, golf became more than just a game; it was how they connected with each other and with friends and colleagues.


The gift Marc envisioned was a barrel headcover made from a pin flag Eric had given him. With Gail's inherited sewing machine and a determination to create something exceptional, Marc and Gail began crafting prototype after prototype, experimenting with cloth and leather. Despite their initial lack of experience, their passion and determination drove them forward.


Their journey into leathercrafting ignited a creative spark, leading to the launch of Bluetross in April 2021. What started with headcovers and yardage book covers has since expanded into a range of leather goods, including tote bags, purses, and belts. Gail found her passion in designing leather bags, while Marc focused on the golf division, forever in pursuit of his first hole-in-one.


Despite the challenges they faced along the way, the original gift for Eric never materialized. Yet, the pin flag that inspired it all remains a cherished symbol of their humble beginnings. It hangs proudly in their production facility, serving as a reminder of the passion that drives Bluetross forward.
