Buttero Italian leathers are exquisite vegetable tanned leather from the Walpier tannery in Tuscany, Italy. Buttero is characterized by a smooth grain side surface with deep, rich colors. The Walpier Tannery was founded in 1974. It is a member of Italian Vegetable Tanned Vera Leather Consortium, which exists to guarantee the quality of the raw material and workmanship of vegetable tanneries in the Tuscan region.
