The Story Behind the Name

We call it The Devereux, after Devereux Emmet, one of American golf’s earliest architects and the designer behind more than 150 courses in the early 1900s. He brought a kind of graceful creativity to his work , blending natural flow with a willingness to try something new.

This headcover reflects that balance. A circle patch with a classic number cut-out, made from full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, it’s simple on the surface but distinct by design. Just like Emmet’s best holes, it does exactly what it means to, and doesn’t ask for more attention than it earns.

This stunning Italian leather is a full grain vegetable tanned and done on double shoulders. Vachetta leather is tumbled giving it a natural tumble pattern/texture on the grain and a softer hand. Like any vegetable tanned leather, it will burnish to a patina over time. Vachetta has timeless appeal and is available in nine color choices.
